The
University of Kentucky is pleased to invite you to participate in Module
One of the School Financial Management Institute. This Institute prepares
participants to take the Certified School Financial Manager exam. The
program is collaboration between the Gatton College of Business and
Economics, the College of Education and an advisory board of education
professional in Kentucky. The agenda of topics and description, can

during the week.
THE
PROGRAM
Module
one is a weeklong in-residence program for all participants and is held
in Lexington. The following information will allow you to plan your
schedules.
A
reception and program orientation will begin the activities on first
day of the program. During this time, you will be divided into your
work groups for the week. The success of this program depends on your
professionalism and ability to participate in ALL the activities, classes
and discussions. We need to underscore the importance of full attendance.

Participants
include several levels of experience including:

Administrators who could benefit from a broader perspective in education
management

new developments and current issues
• Recently hired or promoted financial officers
• Staff with management potential
These
are just a few of the challenges that school districts face as we embark
in a new century. However, Professional Development is now available
at the University of Kentucky
for any school district official dealing with the financial management
issues.
